Brothel creepers were worked into this striking Armand Basi One Collection.
Jean-Paul Gaultier
Menswear Show Autumn/Winter 2009/2010 Paris
A wonderful, exciting, energetic show! A political celebration and embrace to multi-ethnicity.
The show screamed out Gaultier, with it’s beautiful classic tailored suits disrupted by British Punk inspirations (bondage straps, Clash soundtrack)
The Underground winklepickers worked perfectly with the collection, enhancing the sharp tailoring and referring to the rebellious attitude of the Mods.

May 2008 London
The Inspiration for this collection came from the Tom Waits character in the 1986 Jim Jarmusch Film Down by Law.
His cool carefree rock ‘n’ roll attitude is what I wanted to capture in my shoes.
I came to work with Underground as I knew them as the genuine Rock ‘n’ Roll shoe brand
Being strongly involved with music subcultures, they would be able to translate my ideas properly.
A.Finney.
After the success of the shoes post shoes, these shoes are being sold
as Limited Edition.
Luella Bartley
Womenswear-Spring/Summer 2007 New York
The feel of the collection - Minimalist Cool
The winklepickers, with their neutral tone (black, white, cold metallic silver) reflected that mood: carefree, naturally cool with a hint of rebellion.
A signed graffiti version of the shoe could also be found.
Karl Lagerfeld
Womenswear Show Autumn/Winter 2007 Paris
Rock’n’Roll Chic!
The Lagerfeld collection combines the french elegance, with its fine fabric and cuts, to the raw attitude of Rock’n’Roll (fishnets, leather gloves)
The 3 straps Underground winklepicker boot enhances the sharpness and austerity of this collection, adding that true Rock’n’Roll feel.
