At Underground, we strongly believe in collaborating with todays fashion designers, that it be by creating new styles together or simply providing our shoes for their runway.
We are very open to new ideas and like seeing our product put in different creative situations.
Fashion houses on their side, know they can trust us when looking to project true Rock ‘n’ Roll attitude.
Mugler X Underground SS12
Once again Nicola Formichetti and Romain Kremer the creative duo at Mugler worked with Underground to provide the footwear for a collection dominated by golden armour and modernised Mugler-tailoring that contained 80s references through pastel colours and stone washed denim.
Underground X William Richard Green SS12
William Richard Green has won acclaim for his “collection of wearable manly menswear” and a British identity that is strongly supported by the production of his clothing collection in the UK.
The collaboration with Underground fulfilled the designers desire to work with an iconic British footwear brand.

With Underground and izzue both blazing the trail for creative self expression, the collaboration between the two labels creates directional rock inspired designs for a new generation.
The izzue x underground collaborations are now in their third season and represent a creative fusion of two distinctive brands.
Asger Juel Larsens FW 11-12 London Fashion Week
Asger Juel Larsens “ Uncle Sam “ collection was a stylish tale taking inspiration from the playful, powerful and deceptive in the American dream. The modern taste fused with Gothic , mechanical and industrial influences is a landscape that Asger inhabits so well and also one to which Underground is no stranger . The resultant collaboration brought an inevitable heavier print to the runway.
Ashish FW 11-12 London Fashion Week
Ashish and Underground collaborated to produce the footwear in a safety pinned tribute to England and Scotland. Multicoloured tartan suits embellished with sequins, ripped and torn sweaters all wrapped up with houndstooth and graffiti strewn creepers.
Underground x Izzue-Spring Summer 2011
We have worked together with Izzue from Hong Kong on this exciting collaboration that sees some of the Underground creeper styles being reworked with some Izzue inspiration. Available through the network of Izzue stores.
Mugler x Underground
The launch of the new Mugler Homme collection under the creative directorship of Nicola Formachetti and designer Romain Kremer sees the introduction of the Mugler x Underground footwear range that includes interpretations of the original Underground creeper styles.
Charlie Le Mindu X Underground
Charlie le Mindu’s Autumn/Winter 2011 collection was a staggering mix of the erotic, the grotesque and the glamorous; a cataclysm of white lace, velvet and trailing lengths of horse hair.
The collection saw an array of head dresses such as a giant white eagle and gas masks swathed in translucent plastic and lace. This collaboration sees the Underground creeper given a typical Charlie Le Mindu treatment with a cream lace apron and a crepe sole.

Jean-Paul Gaultier
Menswear Show Autumn/Winter 2009/2010 Paris
A wonderful, exciting, energetic show! A political celebration and embrace to multi-ethnicity.
The show screamed out Gaultier, with it’s beautiful classic tailored suits disrupted by British Punk inspirations (bondage straps, Clash soundtrack)
The Underground winklepickers worked perfectly with the collection, enhancing the sharp tailoring and referring to the rebellious attitude of the Mods.

May 2008 London
The Inspiration for this collection came from the Tom Waits character in the 1986 Jim Jarmusch Film Down by Law.
His cool carefree rock ‘n’ roll attitude is what I wanted to capture in my shoes.
I came to work with Underground as I knew them as the genuine Rock ‘n’ Roll shoe brand
Being strongly involved with music subcultures, they would be able to translate my ideas properly.
A.Finney.
After the success of the shoes post shoes, these shoes are being sold
as Limited Edition.
Luella Bartley
Womenswear-Spring/Summer 2007 New York
The feel of the collection - Minimalist Cool
The winklepickers, with their neutral tone (black, white, cold metallic silver) reflected that mood: carefree, naturally cool with a hint of rebellion.
A signed graffiti version of the shoe could also be found.
Karl Lagerfeld
Womenswear Show Autumn/Winter 2007 Paris
Rock’n’Roll Chic!
The Lagerfeld collection combines the french elegance, with its fine fabric and cuts, to the raw attitude of Rock’n’Roll (fishnets, leather gloves)
The 3 straps Underground winklepicker boot enhances the sharpness and austerity of this collection, adding that true Rock’n’Roll feel.
